Product Description
Hanhart’s 417 ES 1954, in the original case size of 39 mm, pays tribute to their most famous aviation chronograph.
Hanhart originally manufactured the 417 as the first pilot’s chronograph for the, then newly founded, German armed forces in-line with three guiding principles of sturdiness, reliability, and readability. For over a decade, Hanhart supplied the German Bundeswehr with the original model until the company shifted its focus to the production of precision, hand-held stopwatches from 1963 onwards. The few surviving examples of the historic 417 have since become sought-after vintage chronographs for collectors.
