Product Description
A March 2024 Cartier Santos-Dumont Large WSSA0046 in steel, with the black dial, Roman numerals and hand-wound calibre 430 MC, on a black alligator strap. Excellent condition with some wear on the strap, with box and card and the balance of the Cartier warranty.
Cartier SANTOS-DUMONT
1904. Louis Cartier granted the wish of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to be able to tell the time while flying. The birth of one of the first ever wristwatches sealed the bonds of friendship between these two pioneers. The rounded angles of the dial, seamless curve of the horns, and the exposed screws made for an iconic watch that would inspire countless reinterpretations.

Steel case with black lacquer, steel beaded crown set with a blue synthetic spinel cabochon, black square decoration dial with translucent lacquer, Roman numerals, steel sword-shaped hands, sapphire crystal. Case back engraved with the handwritten signature of Alberto Santos-Dumont. Black alligator-skin strap, steel ardillon buckle. Case dimensions: 43.5 mm x 31.4 mm, thickness: 7.3 mm. Water-resistant up to 3 bar (approx. 30 metres).
