Product Description
The ROLEX transitional Submariner – ref 16800 – was the first Submariner model to feature a Sapphire crystal glass, 300 metre w/resistance rating and Rolex’s Calibre 3053 movement. The early eighties models still had the matte-dial of the earlier 1680 ref but these we slowly fazed out in favour of dials with white-gold surrounds on the hour indices and then the glossy black dials.
